Regarding rotating monitors - I've found one of the most useful things in my second monitor is not just turning it to show the client something.

I often rotate my monitor by 90 degrees from lanscape to portrait mode - this is perfect when drafting or reviewing long agreements - draft/review on your usual screen but view or edit definitions or annexures in the second "long" monitor. Most modern graphics cards can now support monitor rotation but not all LCD displays can be rotated in this way - definitely a feature worth looking out for when buying a new LCD display.

The conference was just great Simon. I agree with the comments. I am already planning to implement specific suggestions from it.

I would like to suggest that there be a place for conversations between us, either through this blog, or via a Yahoo group. For example, I am looking at a digital dictation system, trying to work out which dictation system is the best, wondering whether the extra features of Quikscribe are worth it, or just to go for a Philips or Olympus system, wondering whether I should get Dragon Naturally Speaking instead. I'd love to be able to tap into other people's experiences.

From the Brown and Partners website: "This site was designed using a resolutionset to 800x600, but your screen resolution is 1680x1050. To best view the site, please change your screen resolution, if possible. Thanks!"

Is this really a good look? Some of the larger, thin monitors have "natural" resolutions. Having paid for a nice BIG one, am I going to abandon it especially if I'm watching TV at the same time? And this from a high tech firm.

Great presentation at the seminar, nevertheless.

And now the internet has spawned podcasting: "You too can be an online content provider" and and industry to provide content services to podcasters http://music.podshow.com.

Was it a "danger" or an opportunity to create a whole new industry. Why are lawyers so quick tgo see the negative?
